The reason democracy is so difficult, is because it is a "top down" processs. It is not something the "people" want, but something that the intellectuals of society *think* that people should have. Think Iraq. They weren't doing "fine" before W invaded, but they had a stable society.

I just have to post this one. It's too good to pass up. Even more outrageous? The comments.

If Nordman had had some economic lifeboat so he and his family could continue to live (not just survive) with dignity and decency, the idea of robbing a bank would surely never have entered his thoughts.

This book is about following a bunch of really radical fellows who run a "news" site, but tend to just advance wildly radical leftist nonsense.
