It occurs to me that there's a major intellectual bit of complete hypocrisy on the part of Democrats and a lot of other agitators for "health care". Many of the advocates are quite certain that we should do it no matter what it costs. But the reason we should do it is that it saves money.

Hmmm? How's that again?

Yeah, we "must" do it because health care costs too much for people to afford. And, yet, when the bean counters start adding up the costs, the advocates start arguing we should do it... No matter what the cost.

Health Care in America is mostly driven by what we have and what people want to do.

Health Care in every socialized country is driven by money. Pretty much all policies concerning resource allocations are driven by... Money. Money is the first and foremost concern in every nation that has socialized care. From deciding who gets treated and who doesn't, to deciding what technology, medicines, and research, it's all predicated on one calculation: Money.

Yet, the argument is that we must have socialized medicine to remove the "money" issue from health care.

Hypocrisy? Rank!
